When meeting someone new, meeting them in a public place can reduce risks.
If doing an activity that relies on the other person for safety, make sure that the person you are meeting has the safety experience they claim to have. Be ready to walk away or offer to do an activity that does not depend on the partner for safety if they display that they are not proficient in the safety techniques of the activity. Conversely, if someone decides not to do the activity with you due to unsafe technique, do not proceed to insist on doing the activity anyway, instead try to ask for feedback and move on.
If a person displays abusive behaviour, please report them to us via the app (push the three dots while in a chat with the person. This will display a menu, tap “Remove or Report” then “Report and Remove” followed by the reason for reporting).
